Maintenance & updates overview
Summary: Neon performs two distinct update types: platform maintenance and compute updates. Platform maintenance covers infrastructure, resource management, and critical security patches; track it via the Neon Status page by region. Compute updates cover Postgres version upgrades, OS patches, and new Neon features; view them in the Console under Settings > Postgres. Paid plans can select a preferred update window.
Maintenance & updates overview

Updates apply improvements and updates to individual Neon computes, including Postgres updates, operating system patches, and new Neon features. These updates keep your Neon compute environment and Postgres instances current and optimized. To learn more, see Updates.

Where to check for maintenance and updates
